My wellbeing and counselling resources come from my work as a qualified Counsellor which has taught me what people generally want and need (these are not always the same thing!) and has inspired me to produce helpful cards which can be used in a number of ways. All of the techniques in these cards are ones I have used to help people who have come to me for counselling help and emotional support and I have used them myself too as a fellow human being! They are well tried and tested and come with recommendations from other therapists.

  • TA Transactional Analysis cards

TA is a logical way to understand who we are and how we interact with others in the world. The cards can be used in therapy sessions to explain how TA works, as a prompt for the counsellor, or the client can hold and look at an individual card to make the explanation clearer as the counsellor speaks. I sometimes invite the client to photograph the card as a reminder of what they have learned in the session.
They could also be used by individuals who have a basic knowledge of TA.
Those of us who love TA will find ways to use the cards to remind ourselves of this amazing system for understanding how we communicate and how others respond to us.

There are 35 cards including the front card in a pack, printed on 300 gsm quality coated card, with a glossy finish, and they come in a cardboard tuck box. 

 

'Fur and Feathers' is a series of wellbeing resources featuring the owl and the hare, symbols of calm, wisdom and safety. Feel Safe cards are the first in this series.

How to use Feel Safe cards?  Do you ever feel anxious or upset? If you are a human being reading this, I would be surprised if you haven't. These cards are a collection of 34 ideas of how to feel calmer and safer when life throws you curve balls.  When you need to feel grounded, choose a card or take a card at random whenever you feel the need and carry out the suggestion, keep your favourite card in your purse or your diary, stuck to the mirror, take a photo of it or think up new ways as inspiration to use them to take care of yourself.

They make a lovely gift for anyone whose wellbeing you care about and that includes yourself!

Card suggestions include going for a walk, ways to manage your worries, how to distract yourself, how to calm and soothe yourself.
